Series 4: Bennachie and the Garioch, Society and the Ecology in the History of North-East Scotland

Issue 4 tells the story of the 'Bede House', a 17th Century house on the slopes of Bennachie which provided refuge for the old and infirm of parish. The Bennachie landscapes group have found and excavated the house and have tracked down information from the archives about the house. Other chapters look at the attempt to create a living history garden in the grounds of a 19th Century croft, the graffiti on Mither Tap, and a survey of the moths on Bennachie. This volume provides new information about the history and life on the range of Bennachie.
