Bailies Workparty - Saturday 7th July 2018

This month’s workparty was clearing bracken, etc., around two of the Colony Houses. We also weeded, watered and generally tidied up the Kailyard at Shepherds Lodge and checked the recently planted trees in the Foraging Forest.
Despite the hard winter and very dry summer the fruit bushes and trees are doing well and, in some cases, even producing small amounts of berries, apples and damsons, which was not expected in their first year.
Let’s hope this is a good omen for future crops!
