70 Jubilee Trees To Be Planted

The environmental charity, the Bailies of Bennachie, plan to plant 70 trees on the hillside to mark the Platinum Jubilee. The first tree, a fruit tree, was planted at the weekend and the other 69 will be planted later in the year.
The vice chair of the Bailies, Ann Bailie, said:
“We wanted to send our congratulation to HM the Queen on the occasion of her Platinum Jubilee. The cherry tree was planted at the weekend near Shepherds Lodge on the colony trail. This area is near the recreated 19th Century Kailyard and is a space which already has some fruit trees.”
