An anniversary walk to the memorial cairn close to Oxen Craig which commemorates three Royal Air Force aircrew who died in two aircraft crashes on Bennachie. Learn about the circumstances of these events and the pilots involved.

The granite memorial, which incorporates pieces of wreckage from both crashes, was reconstructed by the Bailies in 2012. Wreckage from both crashes can still be seen on the hillside.

Appropriate clothing and footwear should be worn for walking on some rough hill tracks and amongst heather and in possible wet weather!
