Guided Walk on Bennachie - Flora & Fauna
10:30-12:30 13 May 2023
An informal multi-discipline walk to view spring flowers and birds singing to stake their spring territories
Details
An informal multi-discipline walk on the lower trails of Bennachie, when the spring flowers are blooming and the birds are singing to stake their springtime territories.
Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff will be offering their distinguishing songs and there will likely be other common migrants about like Blackcap and Tree Pipit. Maybe some early butterflies about too if the weather is kind.
We’ll also be looking for the tracks and signs that tell the story of the lives of the hidden wildlife, especially shy mammals like the badger, pine marten and squirrel.
