Free Pottery History Workshops!

On Saturday 2 June as part of the ongoing Bennachie Landscapes Project, Aberdeen University Archaeology Department's Rick Knecht will be at the Bennachie Centre, near Chapel of Garioch.
Rick will be leading two free workshops at the Bennachie Centre the first workshop will run from 10.00am until 1.00pm and the second ( a re run of the morning workshop ) will be from 2.00 - 5.00pm.
These free workshops are part of the Bennachie Landscapes Project and more information can be found be either looking at the Bailies of Bennachie web site which is www.bailiesofbennachie.co.uk , emailing bennachielandscapes@scottish-heritage.org.uk or tel 07812087898.
This will be a great opportunity for anyone interested in the history of local pottery . Rick will be looking and discussing the finds from the recent Bennachie Colony excavation. He will also be giving a general overview of late 18th and 19th century pottery to be found in the North-east.
