Calling ex-pat Bailies!

April 2012

Are you a member of the Bailies of Bennachie living away from Aberdeenshire and the north east? On Saturday 23 June 2012 we are holding a community oral history day at the Bennachie Visitor Centre and we want you to be involved. Please get in touch to share your stories of Bennachie and its surroundings, and leave your own mark on local history.
On the day we will be connecting with the Bennachie ‘diaspora’ live on the internet. We will ask people about their memories of Bennachie and the area, their family histories, and the changing landscape. If you would like to take part, you will need access to a computer running Skype and ideally a web cam. We can help you set up Skype if you need it (see www.skype.com). We will schedule a time with you and call you up from the Bennachie Centre on the day. The conversation will take about 10 minutes, depending on demand! If you are living in a different time zone we will try and accommodate you but our favoured times would be between 9.00 – 15.00 GMT.
For further information and to schedule a Skype call, please email Jo Vergunst, j.vergunst@abdn.ac.uk .
This project is part of the Bennachie Landscapes Project in association with the University of Aberdeen.
