At the AGM held at Chapel of Garioch King George V memorial hall last week (Thursday September 22 the Bailies of Bennachie welcomed their special visitors Charles Burnett and his wife Aileen from Portsoy.
Council business matters included the re-election of Jackie Cumberbirch as Senior Bailie.
After the council matters were concluded the audience were treated a colourful presentation from Charles Burnett, Ross Herald extraordinary.The eminent heraldic expert Charles gave a lively and detailed dissertation on the heraldry of Harlaw which gave a vividly illustrated picture of life 600 years ago - what led up to the bloody battle of Harlaw and the repercussions.?
