Schools and Education
A key aim of the Bennachie Landscapes Project is to engage local schools and young people with the heritage of their area and the opportunities for learning in an engaging way that archaeology can provide. Several school-specific micro-projects have been set up to provide discreet activities for each school that feed back into the wider research aims for the project.
Alongside the projects for children, work is on-going to inspire and empower teachers to utilise archaeology to achieve curriculum aims.
