Ken Ledingham a member of the Bennachie Landscapes Project has an article printed in the Scottish Local History Forum journal, issue no.89, Autumn 2014
The article is entitled "An Aberdeenshire Estate Rental Book; the estates of Leslie of Balquhain, 1875-84" which gives information about the people who lived on and around Bennachie at that time.
Included in the article is a description of papers whichKen discovered in the archives which listed all the tenants living on Bennachie in 1859 together with the conditions of lease which were being imposed on them at that date as a result of the breakup of the Commonty.
