ALL-GIRL ceilidh band Danse McCabre soon had folk on their feet for their rousing opening number The Gay Gordons at the Bailies of Bennachie annual ceilidh at Chapel of Garioch King George V Memorial hall on Saturday night.
There was enthusiastic toe-tapping and hands-clapping for those less nimble.
Danse McCabre with the present line-up have been playing together since 2009.
Their popularity takes them all over Aberdeenshire and they are becoming Scottish ambassadors abroad too.
Said Claire White who plays fiddle: “We are becoming known on the continent too.
“Last year we played in Poland and this summer in Slovenia, the Netherlands and Norway.”
Fiddler Claire and Helen Lynch who plays whistle and Bodhran drum are from Aberdeen and Anne Taylor on keyboard is from Midmar.
