Social Landscapes

This aspect of Bennachie Landscapes seeks to understand the development of the agricultural, political and social landscape of Bennachie and the Garioch. It complements the study of the natural heritage undertaken in the Flora and Fauna project to help create a complete picture of the biocultural development of the area. This project sees the coming-together of experts from the Universities of Aberdeen, Lampeter and Glasgow along with the Bailies. A wide range of sites around Bennachie and across the Garioch are going to be examined in order to understand the archaeological and historical development of the whole area.

This project is up and running and looking for volunteers.
