Landscapes Forum > The Mither Tap

This relates to something beyond the immediate environment of Bennachie but I think nevertheless it is very interesting. I surveyed the Recumbent Stone Circle at Tomnagorn (variously Tamnagorn) and found the recumbent azimuth some degrees off the south-westerly azimuths normally associated with the RSCs' recumbents. It happened to be a clear day when I was there and I stood for a while with my back against the recumbent admiring the view and to my amazement I could see the tip of the Mither Tap immediately opposite the centre of the recumbent. To my mind this placement was intentional on the part of the builders.
